Summary: We were initially given a room which led onto a flat roof where workmen were having a smoke break. There was also some kind of extractor fan vibrating away too. This room was absolutely not suitable for guests. Thankfully, after asking to be moved we were given a proper guest room on the opposite side of the building which was absolutely lovely. Spacious, clean and luxurious. The building is very old and beautiful and full of character. It is in the heart of the town centre providing great access. The bar was lovely and reasonably priced. It may be worth mentioning that the hotel was next to a Wetherspoons with a beer garden. This stayed open till late at the weekend, but the noise didn't really affect us much. The hotel had its own parking which was free and I managed to park there for the duration of my stay but there were not many spaces, so I felt lucky.
